Tuesday at Condover Hall

Another great day! All the children have been fantastic: eating well, joining in with all the activities and getting along so well. It has been so much fun for everyone.

  • Christingle Service at Holy Trinity 3rd December 9.30am

    On Monday 2nd December,  over 200 Christingles will be made by the children, with help from the 'Open The Book' team.

    These will be lit during the special Christingle Service on Tuesday 3rd December from 9.30am.

     

  • %oth Birthday of the School Open Day Celebrations

    12 noon Whole school buffet with all classes in together on long tables with teachers having meals with the children as they used to do.  There'll be balloons, 60s music and a lunchtime menu from school’s first week of opening: cottage pie and veg, then jam roly poly and custard - delicious!

    1.15pm  After lunch, open afternoon with Y6 children taking visitors around school.

    2.00pm   Whole School Worship

    Sue and Reverend Horsfall to welcome everybody.

    Special guests – members of the history society to talk about when the first Christ Church School and Christ Church first opened, then the opening of the present school in 1969. They will present an exhibition of photographs in decades, with artefacts and guests from each era.

    Bishop Libby to talk and lead a prayer to the school

    She will then formally open and bless our fabulous new classroom and our library.

    Reverend Horsfall to lead a prayer of blessing.

    Sue to invite everyone to afternoon tea, with a picnic and sweetie surprises for the children, and refreshments, tea and cakes for adults       

    3.30pm Afternoon tea party and exhigition of photographs of the original school 150 years ago and our school since 1969

    You can wear 1960s dress if you want to!

  • Christmas Fayre on Friday 29th November

    Thanks to our PTFA for organising lots of fun things to do from 3.15pm

    Stalls:

    1. Wine and water stall
    2. Guessing table – weight of the cake, name of the teddy and sweets in a jar  
    3. Clay and cutters/stampers to make decorations for tree  and decorate a biscuit 
    4. Gifts to buy made by PTFA: reindeer food (ECO) sweetie cones and hot choc reindeers 
    5. Games: pick a lolly stick, splat the falling Santa, and ping pong in a cup  
    6. Santa’s grotto – with the real Santa and Fern as an elf helper and Liz to help
    7. Raffles: lots of great prizes: weekend away, afternoon tea, bowling voucher for family, Christmas hamper and family ticket for Matlock farm park
    8. Refreshments – Tracey has got 150 sausages from Watson and Browns so they'll be delicious!
