Schools and Academies have a Governing Body who represent the public and stakeholders and have an active interest in the school. Our Governing Body comprises of representatives from Trinity/Christ Church, staff, parents and the local authority.
The duties of the Governing Body are to:
1. Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction for the school.
2. Hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.
3. verseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

Foundation Governors are appointed by the Diocese to ensure that the Christian ethos of the school is upheld.
Parent Governors are elected to be representatives of the parent body.
Staff Governors include the Headteacher and another elected member of the staff body.
Co-opted Governors should live or work in the community served by the school, or committed to the good governance and success of the school.
Clerk to Governors:
The Board of Governors hold Governing Body meetings at least every term, and sub-committee meetings (Curriculum and Resources Committee) meet a further three times a year.
Governors serve for a minimum of 4 years.
