New Starters Information

In Early Years our intent is rooted in creating an environment that fosters happiness, joy, and emotional well-being, ensuring that every child feels loved and ready to embark on a journey of lifelong learning. At Christ Church, we are committed to building strong, supportive relationships with each child, laying the foundation for a positive attitude towards learning. Our curriculum is crafted to ignite and nurture the spark of curiosity within every child. By providing a rich and stimulating learning environment, we aim to inspire a lifelong love for learning, ensuring that our pupils are not just prepared for the jobs of today but are equipped with the skills to navigate the challenges of tomorrow.

Home learning

Each week pupils will choose a school library book reading this book at home is crucial for early years pupils. It nurtures literacy skills, expands vocabulary, and cultivates a lifelong love for reading. As well as a library book pupils will receive a pack of sounds. Watch the video below to see how we teach the sounds at school. For more on reading please visit our curriculum page.
